The Nighttime Novelist...accomplishes more in about 240 pages than a dozen other "how to write" or "craft your novel" books have ever done.

The Nighttime Novelist Interview with Suite 101's Suzanne Pitner

The recent interview I did for Suite 101 with the wonderful Suzanne Pitner--who'd earlier given The Nighttime Novelist a very nice review and was gracious enough to include it in her roundup of "Best Creative Gifts for Writers of Fiction and Nonfiction"--is now online. I went a little long on my responses (thanks to her marvelous questions), so the full interview is in two parts:

--In Part I, I discuss how The Nighttime Novelist is designed to help working writers finish their books, what makes it different from the other writing books on the shelf;

--In Part II, I discuss some aspects of my own work (including my recently-completed novel The Strikeout Artist, which I was very happy and humbled to talk about).

I really enjoyed the experience...and I'm pleased to see that the interview has been picked up as a story of the day for FreshFiction's The authors Daily!

To follow Ms. Pitner, check out her work for Suite 101, her fantastic site TeacherWriter.net (she had me at the title), and follow her on Twitter. And to follow FreshFiction, check out their main site, as well as The authors Daily, and follow them on Twitter.

My great thanks to all!
