I accidentally left my alarm set this morning, and I'm so glad I did, because I got to hear this fantastic interview with musician Josh Ritter on NPR's Morning Edition.
The subject is songwriting, of course, but there's a whole lot of interest to fiction writers: discussions of narrative storytelling, the creative process, overcoming anxiety and writer's block, and so on. He even discusses Flannery O'Connor and Muriel Spark before playing some of his new songs.
You're gonna like this.
Listen to the interview below, or go to NPR's site for the audio, a partial transcript, and more.
